Change Agent’s Chat Window Name

Objective

To change an agent’s name displayed in the chat window.

Applies To

  • Virtual Contact Center (VCC) Chat

Answer

The agent’s name that is displayed in the end-customers chat window is controlled by the agent’s Display Name in the Virtual Contact Center Configuration Manager.

  1. Log into the Configuration Manager.
  2. In the left panel, select Agents or Users.
  3. Double click the agent’s name, User Edit UserGeneral options.
  4. Edit the Display Name as desired.
    • If Display Name is blank, then by default Agent is displayed instead of the agent’s name.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Have the agent log out and back in.
