Stream Management Recommendations

Only invite speaking participants of the meeting. Including non-essential people in the meeting often causes excess noise and makes it harder to have a seamless event.

Other participants should be sent the YouTube live link. This can be found in the Live section of your videos within your YouTube studio.

Common Stream Management Settings

In 8x8 Video Meetings, lock the stream to "everyone follows me." This will prevent the stream perspective from jumping between different speakers and content.

  1. Click More Actions (three dots).
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select More.
  4. Check Everyone follows me.
  5. Click OK.

Additional Information

YouTube Live Streaming messages do not synchronize with Virtual Office messaging or in-meeting chat. YouTube live stream hosts should use YouTube to check these messages.
