Virtual Office for Zendesk Integration: Configure Agents with 8x8 User Profile

Objective

How to configure Agents with 8x8 User Profile 

Applies To

  • Virtual Office for Zendesk Integration
    Before you integrate Virtual Office with Zendesk, you must configure your Zendesk agent usernames in their 8x8 user profiles.

Procedure

As a Virtual Office Editions User
  1. Log in to Configuration Manager as an administrator.
  2. Go to Home > Users.
  3. Create a new user, or from the list of users, click the More Options  icon next to the desired user to open a drop-down menu.
  4. From the drop-down, select Edit to view user settings.
  5. In the user settings, go to Advanced Settings > Third Party Integration.

  6. Under Third Party, select Zendesk ID.
  7. Enter the user's username as a Zendesk agent.
  8. Save your changes to the user, and repeat for each user you want to enable as an agent.


    As a Virtual Office Classic User

  9. Log in to Account Manager as an administrator.
  10. Go to Accounts > User Profiles.
  11. Create a new user, or from the list of existing users, click Edit next to the desired user to view user profile settings.
  12. In the user settings, enter the user's username as a Zendesk agent next to Zendesk ID.

  13. Save your changes to the user, and repeat for each user you want to enable as an agent.
