Cisco 504G IP Phones restarting when setting DND

Question 

When using my Cisco 504G IP Phone with Virtual Office Desktop, and setting DND (Do Not Disturb), why does the phone restart?

Answer

This is the expected behavior. It is due to a NOTIFY check-sync being sent to the phone when DND is set.
