How to Connect a Cisco 8861 IP Phone to a Wireless Network
Objective
To connect a Cisco IP Phone 8861 to a wireless network.

Procedure
Connect to a Broadcasted Network
- Unplug the Ethernet cable and plug in the power adapter.
- Press Information and settings (gear icon).
- Navigate to Network Configuration.
- Select Wi-Fi configuration.
- Select the Service Set Identifier (SSID) of the network.
- Enter the network Passphrase/password.
- Press Connect.
- A message that connection was successful will appear. Press OK to return to the Network configuration menu.
Connect to a Hidden Network
- Press Information and settings (gear icon).
- Navigate to Network Configuration.
- Select Wi-Fi configuration.
- Select Other.
- Choose the security mode of the SSID network.
- Press Select.
- Enter the Service Set Identifier (SSID).
- Enter the network Passphrase/password.
- Press Connect.
- A message that connection was successful will appear. Press OK to return to the Network configuration menu.
