Your Cisco desk phone or SPA adapter reads Internal Server Error on the display and prevents dialing out.


This is usually caused by keying in an invalid or unsupported star code, such as *67 or *69, which are known to cause this error. Click here for a list of Cisco SPA star codes.


To correct an invalid star code entry error

  1. Lift the handset.
  2. Dial [*][6][8].
  3. Hang up.
  4. Wait 30 seconds, then attempt to dial out again.

Please remember that *67 (caller ID blocking) and *69 (last number call back) are not supported on 8x8 service.
