To forward Ring Group calls to an external number in 8x8 Admin Console.
- 8x8 Admin Console
- Ring Groups
- Log into your Application Panel.
- Click 8x8 Admin Console.
- Go to the following location Work Groups and select Ring Groups.
- Select the Pencil icon to edit the Ring Group that will be forwarding calls to an external number.
- Navigate to Call forwarding rules and click by clicking the expand icon
- Select Forward all calls, this will uncheck all the other options
- Enter the external number you wish to forward to.
- Note: When entering a local number, enter this without the international prefix (+ or 00). For example, for a local UK number use +44 where the leading 0 would be, e.g. +442081234567 instead of 02081234567.
- Click Save.
- Test to make sure that it is routing correctly.
