User Not Found in Company Directory When Sending Fax

Symptom

User A's name is not found in the Company directory when sending a Fax from User B.

  1. Log in to 8x8 Work for Desktop as User B.
  2. Select Fax.
  3. Click the + icon > New fax dialog opens.
  4. Click the To: + icon > Select Contact dialog opens.
  5. Select Company.
  6. User A is not found in the list.
  7. Type User A in the name box > User A is not found.

Resolution

In Admin Console, toggle the user's number, extension, fax number, and username. Or create a new user account, and move the desired numbers to the new user.
