When using the 8x8 Work for NetSuite integration, you receive an error when your call ends:
- Call log created successfully, but failed to associate the call log to contact as the contact does not have an associated company.
This results in a call log being written to NetSuite, but the record is orphaned/unassigned to a Contact.

As stated in the error message, the NetSuite Contact you are attempting to save call data for does not have an assigned Company in the Contact's Company field.
To properly store call data for contacts in the 8x8 Work for NetSuite integration, the Company field for any assigned contact must have a value assigned.
This is a NetSuite architecture requirement, and there is no workaround available for this.
