Bria Softphone End of Life Support

Overview

The Bria 5.0 softphone has been End-of-Life (EOL) since 2021 and is no longer supported (i.e., not certified for use with Windows 11 or macOSs 12 Monterey).

More recently, the developers of Bria (Alianza, formerly Counter Path), have stopped selling licenses for Bria 5.0. Based on these facts, 8x8 is discontinuing resale and support of Bria 5.0 immediately.

Fortunately, we have a solution for customers using the Bria softphone, which is 8x8 Work for Desktop. The solution is free to 8x8 customers and we recommend you consider it as an option for your softphone requirements.

For additional information, we have prepared this FAQ to help you further understand the Bria 5.0 end of sale/end of support.
