How to Set Up Offhook Auto-Dial on Grandstream ATAs

Objective

Set up a Grandstream ATA to auto-dial out to a specified number when the phone is off-hook.

Procedure

Locate the IP Address After Connecting to Your Network via the Internet Port

  1. Connect an Ethernet cable to the internet port on the Grandstream device and connect it to your network.
  2. Connect an analog phone to the phone port 1, dial *** and the phone will prompt “Enter a Menu Option”
  3. Dial 02 to read out the current IP

Note: You can also use a network IP scanner tool to look for the Mac Address and IP. The Manufacturer name will be Grandstream Networks, Inc.

Manually Set Offhook Auto-Dial

  1. Ensure the device is activated.
  2. In a web browser on a computer on the same network as the phone, browse to the device's IP address.
    • Note: Use http:// not https:// to access the web GUI.
  3. Log in using the default credentials.
  4. Once you have logged into the web GUI, click on FXS Port for the single port model or FXS Ports for multiport models.
  5. In the Offhook Auto-Dial field, enter the phone number(s) or extension number(s) for the required port(s):

  6. Click Update.
  7. Click Apply.
