Objective

Paging via intercom or handset with Fuze.

Applies To

  • Fuze
  • Paging

Procedure

Paging is the ability to broadcast a message to a single phone, or multiple phones.

Paging is not enabled by default, contact your Administrator to find out if you have the required permissions and configurations for paging.

Intercom

Dial **xxxx where "xxxx" is the extension you'd like to page. For example, to open an intercom with extension 1234, dial **1234.

Note: If you attempt to page an extension that you are not authorized to page, you'll hear a fast busy signal.

Handset Paging

Direct Paging

  1. Dial your direct paging shortcut (ex: *789). If you don't know your shortcut, contact your Administrator.
  2. When you hear a confirmation tone, you are now broadcasting live audio over the speakerphone of all handsets in the page group.
  3. Hang up to end the page.

Rolling Paging

  1. Dial your direct paging shortcut (ex: *789). If you don't know your shortcut, contact your Administrator.
  2. When you hear a confirmation tone, record your message.
  3. Dial # to save the message and then hang up (Hanging up without saving will NOT transmit the page.)
  4. The recorded message is broadcast over the speakerphones of the handsets in the Rolling Paging group.

Multicast Paging

  1. Press the Paging softkey on your phone.
  2. Select a page group/mode from the list.
  3. All devices subscribed to that page group answer the page (depending on the page mode)
  4. You are now broadcasting live audio to all subscribed devices.
