Set a Call Forward on a Ring Group

Objective

Add a Forwarding Rule to a Ring Group.

Applies To

  • Configuration Manager
  • Call Forwarding

Procedure

  1. Log in to Configuration Manager
  2. Click Ring Groups.

  3. Click Edit (pencil icon) on the Ring Group you want to edit.
  4. Scroll down to Call Forwarding Rules.
  5. For your rules, you can choose from:
    • Forward all calls
    • When Internet connection is down
    • When all members are busy
    • When no one in Ring Group answer
  6. On the rule you wish to implement, click Edit (pencil icon).

  7. Choose whether you wish to Forward calls to voicemail or a user/number
    • If forwarding to a user/number, you can either choose from the drop down list for extensions/ring groups/auto attendants/queues, or you can manually type in an external number. 

      Please note: If forwarding to an International Number an LOA (Letter of Authority) is required. If entered, without processing the request correctly, with an LOA, the forward will fail.

  8. Click Save.
  9. When returning to the Ring Group Edit page, save.
