Carrier Calling on Fuze Mobile

Question

What is carrier calling and when should I use it on the Fuze Mobile app?

Applies To

  • Fuze Mobile

Answer

With carrier calling, Fuze uses your carrier minutes to connect your inbound and outbound calls. This is particularly useful when your WiFi or carrier data network quality is too low to sustain a reliable internet (VoIP) call.

Why and when should I use it?

Carrier calling is most effective when you have poor WiFi or bad carrier data network reception. For example, you may be city walking where tall buildings interfere with your data reception, working from a coffee shop with bad wiFi, or driving through remote, low-data network areas.

How does it work?

When you are on a call, Fuze measures your data network quality and recommends to switch to carrier calling. Alternatively, you can choose to always place and receive Fuze calls using carrier calling, by changing the Call Settings on your user profile.
