Troubleshooting Issues with Joining a Fuze Meeting

Resolution

This article describes Fuze troubleshooting tips that go beyond standard troubleshooting. As a result, these tips assume a certain level of technical knowledge and do not explain the specific steps involved in completing the outlined actions (e.g., how to access and view your network specifications).

System

Check to make sure that your system meets the minimum requirements
Fuze apps may generate an error message if your system or software cannot support Fuze. However, if you want to compare your system to our product-specific requirements, see the following articles:

Reset your Fuze Cache

If Fuze Desktop was previously installed on your computer, resetting your cache is a great way to resolve issues before resorting to measures like restarting your computer or reinstalling Fuze.

Reinstall Fuze

If you installed Fuze to attend a meeting at some point in the past and resetting your cache is not working, uninstall and then reinstall Fuze. This ensures that you are using the latest version of Fuze.

Restart your computer or device

Restarting your computer or device can often solve issues, especially on Windows computers. Just remember to save your work before restarting so that nothing is lost!

Update your video and audio drivers

Device manufacturer websites (e.g., Dell.com or Lenovo.com) have automated tools for detecting and updating your device drivers to the latest version. If you are experiencing audio or video issues with your device, try reinstalling drivers can help when newer drivers are not available.

Network

Check your internet connection

Does your computer or device show that you are fully connected to the internet? If not, you may be offline and may want to dial in so that you do not miss anything while trying to reconnect.

Check to make sure that your connection meets the minimum requirements
If your network connection speed or quality falls below the minimum requirements, it's more than likely that you will see an error message in Fuze. Refer to the following articles if you want to compare your connection and bandwidth speed to the minimum requirements:

Security

Check your firewall settings
Windows Firewall, McAfee, Norton, Sophos, or Malwarebytes are just a few modern software security products that help prevent your computer from potential viruses or threats. If these or similar products are preventing you from downloading Fuze, we recommend adjusting your settings to allow Fuze to be downloaded. Temporarily lowering the level of your security protection in Windows may help, but Fuze does not recommend decreasing your level of protection any longer than necessary to complete the Fuze download.

Contact your IT or Network Security Administrator - If multiple people at your organization are having trouble attending a Fuze meeting, or will be attending a Fuze meeting in the near future, a great way to proactively prevent issues is to contact your IT or Network Security Administrator in advance to make sure that everyone in your organization can access Fuze.
